Hi, I'm Paul Merrano.

I build small, focused tools — mostly in C++, Rust and Typescript — around bioinformatics and the things adjacent to it for fun. Having found the need to consolidate all my hapharzardously spread and lacking documentation I created this website.

Right now my main focus revolves around CODON, a nucleotide library 'that's got to go fast', and SCRAMBLE, a desktop app for working with sequencing data and the NCBI Datasets API. In the future I will also be working on MOL, a 3D engine for molecule exploration.
